Before Your Service

Your satisfaction is our top priority. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, which means if you are not completely satisfied with our service, please let us know within 24 hours and we will work to correct the issue.

If you need to cancel your scheduled appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. If notice is given within 48 hours, a fee of $150 or the cost of your service (whichever is lower) will apply. Our technicians depend on these appointments for their income, so while we aim to be flexible, we must also consider their livelihoods. Thank you for your understanding.

Our rescheduling policy is as follows: If you provide less than 48 hours’ notice and we cannot find a new appointment time, a $150 cancellation fee will apply. We will make every effort to accommodate rescheduling requests. Any existing future appointments will remain as scheduled.

If our technician arrives at the scheduled time and there is no way for them to enter the home through no fault of the technician, we will unfortunately have to charge the full cost of the service. This policy allows us to compensate our technicians for their time and ensure that we can continue to provide reliable and consistent services to all of our clients.

At Less Stress Home Services, we prioritize the security of our clients’ homes. For this reason, we ask that clients not provide us with keys. Instead, we recommend alternatives like a secure lock box, electronic locks, leaving the door unlocked on cleaning day, or having someone home during the visit. This helps us ensure your home’s safety while performing our services efficiently.

If our cleaners need more time, they will contact our office, and we will reach out to you promptly. We can either extend the cleaning time, prioritize the most critical tasks, or ensure that any unfinished work is completed during your next scheduled cleaning.

At Less Stress Home Services, we absolutely adore pets and we understand that your furry friends are an important part of your family. However, to ensure the safety and efficiency of our services, we kindly ask that you securely confine them in a safe area if you believe they will interfere with our service. This will allow us to carry out our tasks smoothly and without any interruptions, ensuring the best possible results for your home.

Additionally, we follow Jefferson County’s school alerts and closures.  In the event Jefferson County schools are closed or put on delay we may ask to delay or reschedule your service.

We appreciate your understanding in this manner.

Our technicians can change the bedsheets. We just ask that you let us know where the clean sheets are located or leave them out in a clearly identifiable area.

If you or your children are sick with a contagious illness (i.e. the flu, a cold, pneumonia, covid, chicken pox, etc.) please call and rescheudle your cleaning.  Even though we disinfect your home, it is possible we might transport germs to the next home or become sick ourselves.  On our end, if we are sick and the technician can not make it to your home we will likewise ask to reschedule. 

The safety of our employees is of utmost importance.  Employees are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions.  If a technician can not make it to your home or feels unsafe traveling we will ask to reschedule your service.

At Less Stress Home Services, tips are always appreciated and can be provided in several ways. You can add a tip electronically by logging into your account, or by giving cash or check directly to your technician. Please note that any tips provided go directly to your technician and are not shared with the company. If there are multiple technicians who completed your service, the tip will be split evenly among them. If you loved your service, thank you for considering tipping your technician for their hard work!

The Chore Helper service is different from the cleaning service in that the Chore Helper service focuses on completing daily chores and household tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up. With the Chore Helper, our goal is to create a home environment you can relax in and be able to enjoy your free time without the stress of everyday chores. While our cleaning service focuses on cleaning bathrooms and kitchens for example, the Chore Helper service is designed to provide support for daily chores and make your life easier.

At Less Stress, we prioritize safety by using eco-friendly cleaning products, including those recognized by the EPA’s Safer Choice Program. These products are chosen to protect both our technicians and homeowners. Whenever possible, we avoid harsh chemicals like bleach, opting for gentler yet effective alternatives.

No, you are not required to book an initial deep clean, but it is highly recommended. The initial deep clean helps bring your home up to standard for ongoing maintenance. It ensures that every surface is thoroughly cleaned and wet-wiped rather than just dusted. Please note that if you choose not to book the initial deep clean and haven’t had professional cleaners recently, we may not be able to complete the entire cleaning in the first visit and will need to continue addressing areas in subsequent recurring cleans.

We kindly ask that you contact our office by phone or text to schedule your next cleaning or make any changes. This helps us manage our schedule effectively.

Rest assured, all our technicians undergo comprehensive background checks, and are fully insured and bonded. They are valued employees of Less Stress Home Services, not contractors, and are fluent in English. We take pride in our meticulous recruitment process, followed by ongoing training and retraining, to guarantee the delivery of the utmost quality service. 

We kindly ask for your understanding that we reserve the right to decline certain tasks or chores that are outside of our scope of service.

You do not need to be home! You can trust our technicians to respect your home and belongings. To ensure privacy and security, we ask for access information to your home, and we will use that information to perform the service while you are away.

Our business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8am to 6pm. If you need to contact us outside of these hours, you can always leave a message or send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible during our normal business hours.

Policies

At Less Stress Home Services, we prioritize the use of environmentally conscious supplies to ensure the safety of both our technicians and customers. While we have carefully selected high-quality and eco-friendly cleaning materials, we understand that some clients may prefer or provide their own supplies. In such cases, clients must be aware that we may not be trained in the proper use of their chosen supplies, and, therefore, we waive any liability in the event that a homeowner-provided cleaning product damages a surface. Additionally, as part of our commitment to hygiene and preventing cross-contamination between homes, we may request to use your vacuum during our cleaning service. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a safe and efficient cleaning environment.

Please grant us a 60-minute window to handle any potential issues such as traffic, parking, and unforeseen circumstances.  If we are running later than 15-minutes we will reach out to let you  know.

At Less Stress Home Services, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of service possible. We achieve this through rigorous training, ongoing education, and rewarding our technicians with a monthly bonus for passing quality control checks. As part of our comprehensive quality program, after a technician has completed their work in your home, we conduct a thorough walkthrough as a part of our quality control checks. During this walkthrough, we may ask you questions about your satisfaction with the service to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding your expectations. This additional step reinforces our dedication to maintaining the highest standards and ensuring your complete satisfaction with our services.

At Less Stress Home Services, we prioritize the trust and security of our clients, and we understand the importance of addressing concerns related to theft during our in-home services. In the unfortunate event that a customer experiences theft while our team is on-site, we request that the affected party immediately files a police report to initiate a thorough investigation. We are fully committed to cooperating with law enforcement throughout the process. If it is determined that a member of our team is found guilty of theft, we assure our clients that we will take full responsibility. To provide an additional layer of protection, we maintain bonding that covers theft-related incidents. In such cases, Less Stress Home Services will reimburse the client for the full amount stolen, emphasizing our commitment to accountability and customer satisfaction. Your peace of mind is of utmost importance to us, and we strive to uphold the highest standards of integrity in every aspect of our services.

We strongly suggest washing your clothes ahead of time, or sorting the clothes into piles of like garments in order to prevent any laundry washing issues.  In the event you do ask us to wash your laundry, our laundry guidelines include separating whites from colors, following care instructions on garments, and ensuring that we do not mix delicates with heavier fabrics. We also ask that you provide any specific laundry detergent or fabric softener that you prefer. If you have any special instructions or preferences, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.

In addition to washing and drying, our Chore Helpers will also fold, hang, iron, and put away your laundry according to your preferences. Just let us know if you have any specific requests or instructions.

For our at-home meal prep service, we streamline the process to make it more convenient for you to prepare your meals. Whether you require support with prepping ingredients, such as mise en place, to speed up the cooking process after a hectic day, or if you’d like us to handle the preparation of school lunches for the week, we’re here to make your meal preparation easier. Just provide us with your recipes and ingredients, and we’ll ensure you have everything ready to cook quickly, allowing you to enjoy fresh, homemade meals at your convenience.

To schedule an errand, please try to notify us ahead of time, as we may be able to run the errand before arriving to your home. Please note that any mileage and expenses related to the errand must be reimbursed immediately upon completion of the service. To streamline the process for our technicians, we suggest opting for item prepay and pickup whenever feasible. In the event that the technician needs to collect an item before arriving at your home, the clock will begin at the time the technician arrived to complete the first errand.

We understand that every home is unique and may require different tasks. We are happy to accommodate special requests as long as they are reasonable and within the scope of our company policies and insurance limitations. Please let us know in advance about any special requests you may have, and we will do our best to fulfill them.

If there is no designated parking available at your home or building, our technician will need to find alternative parking arrangements nearby. If this results in a parking expense, we kindly request that you reimburse us for this expense immediately at the conclusion of that day’s service.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Payments

We do require a valid credit card to be on file to secure your booking, even if you plan to pay by check. Your credit card will only be charged if there are any outstanding balances after your service is completed.

If you refer a new customer to us who signs up for our service and stays with us for three months, you will receive a $250 credit that you can apply against your service. Additionally, the person you referred will also receive a $100 credit . It’s a win-win for both you and your friends!  Limitations Apply

Yes, we routinely offer new specials and discounts to our customers. We encourage you to contact us to find out what specials we are currently running. Be sure to check our website and social media pages as well, as we often promote our special offers there. We are committed to providing our customers with the best value and service, so keep an eye out for our promotions!
We are completely transparent with our pricing and there are no additional fees or hidden costs. You will always know the cost of the service ahead of time, and we will seek your approval before extending the time or adding any additional services to your bill. We pride ourselves on being upfront and honest with our customers, and our goal is to provide you with high-quality service at a fair and reasonable price.
